My goal as an instructor is to help each student at the level they're at and to create a positive encouraging atmosphere in which all can enjoy learning to paint. Painting is my passion and I'd love to share it with you!

Bring unfinished paintings or start a new one. Lots of one to one help with all painting techniques! All lost paintings can be rejuvenated with a little help!

Watercolour was the first medium I studied many years ago. It has always captivated me because of the freshness and fluidity of this medium. Learning when to set it free or how to control it takes some practice. In this workshop I'll be teaching numerous watercolour techniques including the addition of opaque white mixtures making it more like Gouache.

Painting in an Impressionistic style is sometimes intimidating for artists. Impressionism has captivated me so much because of its freedom and spontaneous look. Painting 'Your' impression frees you to tell a more personal story.
Learning to see and simplify the shapes of value with loose brush strokes can really be freeing and amazingly fun!! Learn to use colours you love but stay true to the value design that is important in the composition.
In this course I want to teach you the thought process and techniques I use to paint a figure and a landscape in a much more impressionistic manner.
You can use your own photo references or use the ones I'll be painting from.

The paintings shown here aren't necessarily the ones I'll be painting in the class but something similar.
